Embarking on a Himalayan trek is often more than just a journey; it’s a profound experience of nature, camaraderie, and resilience. Recently, we were thrilled to host a group of nine adventure-seekers, spanning ages 13 to 54, who shared a beautiful bond and a love for the outdoors. Together, we set out from the bustling streets of New Delhi, made our way on an overnight Volvo to Manali, and prepared for an unforgettable trek to the ethereal Bhrigu Lake.
Upon arriving in Manali, the group took time to explore the serene town, relax, and immerse themselves in the local charm. Early the next morning, our journey began with a drive to Gulaba, 40 kilometers away, where they met the spirited North Himalayan Adventure team, led by our dedicated head guide, Bhag Chand Jee.
The Trek to Bhrigu Lake: A Harmonious Blend of Nature and Comfort
As the group set out for the lake, ponies carried their equipment to the campsite, allowing everyone to enjoy the trek with ease. Each member carried their personal day bags with essentials, while Bhag Chand Jee and his team of four ensured every detail was taken care of—campsite setup, meal preparations, and overall support.
Our team went above and beyond, offering gentle encouragement and capturing special moments on camera to preserve the memories. Children in the group felt comfortable and confident, thanks to the warmth and attentiveness of our guides.
